CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Impact on Sea Freight and Air Freight
Dear Valued Customers,In following up on our previous announcement, please see below regarding the impact this will have on AIR & SEA freight.
AIR FREIGHT:
Airfreight Services to/from Australia & New Zealand have be affected as most carriers have restricted or cancelled services, services are expected to resume back to normal Mid to Late May 2020. Please note due to this space is very tight and we are seeing a lot of shipments on a standby basis, rates are also increasing based on demand.
All Airfrieght quotes will need to be reconfirmed prior to uplift on a case by case basis.
Many countries are also imposing lockdowns, due to this some supliers may not be operational and we may experience delays on trucking.
SEA FREIGHT:
Ocean Carriers are forecasting severe space restrictions and blank sailings on all Eastbound services in March 2020.
We expect to see rate increases across Asian, European and USA lanes in the near future; we are monitoring the unpredictable market daily to provide best possible rates, options and services to clients.
We encourage all clients to communicate demand forecasts for Freight so we can best support you through this period of volatility. Capacity and rates will vary according to regions, as a result please insure you are checking with your local sales representative as all current rates in place to effected destinations will no longer be valid and on AD-HOC bases only.
